Fees remain the same regardless of what Diploma year you are enrolling for. All fees are subject to amendment, depending on the Ministry of Education’s policy decisions and pending T.E.C enquiry.
Domestic Students
Administration Fee: All accepted domestic students are required to pay an administration fee of $200 (incl GST). This amount is deducted of your total fee and will confirm your registration for the course. This fee must be paid within 7 days of being issued unless otherwise arranged with the Student Administrator. The deposit fee cannot be added to your student loan.
All fees must be paid in full by the 7th February 2011 for all domestic students.
International Students
International student fees remain the same for the 2D and 3D animation electives. Tuition payment must be made in New Zealand dollars and the student must pay all the bank transfer fees and charges incurred. It is a student visa/permit application requirement that international students must have paid their annual tuition fees in full at the time they submit their visa/permit application. Please be aware that the process of obtaining a student visa/permit can take from 30 days and up to four months. You should be organised and put in an application early to allow enough time for immigration processing.
All fees must be paid in full by 14 October 2011 for 2012 enrolments for international students (first time applicants to Freelance Animation School).
Extra Costs
Freelance organises optional extra curricula activities 2-3 times a year. The cost is between NZD$10-$15pp per activity.
All fees quoted are per annum and include all course costs and GST.
All fees are to be paid in full by 07 February 2012. At the discretion of the school, tuition will be withheld until payment has been made.
Paying with a Student Loan through StudyLink
If you wish to pay for your tuition fees with a Student Loan you will need to apply online at www.studylink.govt.nz. Once you receive your conditional offer of place from Freelance Animation, you will need to apply online for your loan. This needs to be done after your interview with the Marketing Manager and prior to your enrolment appointment with the Student Administrator.
Students who choose to withdraw their application or have been declined a position on the course must notify StudyLink themselves to cancel their loan/allowance application.

Student fee protection policy
Student fees are held in a trust in compliance with Section 236A of the Education Act 1989 as amended by the Education Act (No. 4) 1991. The Trust document is available to view upon request.
