Visa & Permit Information
International students are required to have a student visa and permit to be able to study at Freelance Animation for longer than three months. In addition International students are required to have Medical and Travel Insurance for the time of study.

What is an international student?
An International student is someone who does not hold residency or citizenship in New Zealand.
What is a visa and what is a permit?
A visa is what allows you to enter into the country. A permit is what allows you to stay in the country. In the case of a student permit; the institution of study will be specified on the permit.
How long does a visa application take?
A visa can take anywhere from 4 – 16 weeks to be processed so it is vital that you apply for your visa early to avoid any unexpected delays. Delays are most commonly caused by insufficient or incorrect information submitted in the application so make sure you use the NZ Immigration’s checklist before posting your application.
